Welcome to Year A  Please read below for general information about expectations.

Please ensure that your child reads daily.  They should be reading a variety of fiction and non-fiction books.  It is important that they read to an adult/older sibling as often as possible.  Please ask your child questions about what they have read and encourage them to give opinions about the book.  Your child will be provided with a post-it note each day for you to write your comments on after hearing them read.  They will return this to school and stick it inside their reading diary.  READING DIARIES MUST REMAIN IN SCHOOL.

Water Bottles

Your child must bring in a water bottle each day.  Our water fountains are currently switched off, so water bottles from home are essential.  They will being these home each day

Home Learning

Due to the current situation, the majority of Home Learning will take place online.  Any child who doesn't have access to a device will be provided with paper copies to take home.  NO HOME LEARNING IS TO BE BROUGHT IN TO SCHOOL.  Instead, any written work can be emailed to the school office.  Please click on the correct term to the right of this page to find current Home Learning activities.

Year 6 P.E lesson is on Tuesday.  Please ensure your child arrives at school wearing their P.E. kit on this day  They will not be changing in school.

Walking home

If your child has permission to walk home on their own at the end of the school day it is essential that you provide written consent, which should be handed directly to the class teacher.  Children without written consent will not be given permission to walk home on their own.

Please click on our Term pages at the side to find out what we are currently learning about in class!

Please be reminded that children are not to bring in party bags or sweets.  Instead we ask that a book is donated to our school/class library.
